Old networks dont appear to have the same value for businesses. Social networks have immense potential for niche marketing, but how best to harness that power?

Seeking same goal, exposure to target audience on social media such as facebook, twitter etc, but SMO is more organic, whereas SMM relies more on target audience campaigns, banners and paid adverts. Most marketing companies and digital agencies will offer both, but prefer to use the term SMO as it is more widely recognised by the public..

If your company doesnt have a FB page then its kind of like those companies who waited until 2005 to get a website. by the time they wake up, they'd have missed the opportunity to claim their position in the new market. fact is that people are changing their behaviours, and the trend is looking very good for Facebook. with such a huge network, they'd have to do something reeeeally determined for them to MySpace it. too many people have invested thousands of hours into cultivating their profiles and networks for them to cut out of it. even those who quit facebook rarely do it for real. they just dont check as often, or keep to the voyeuristic shadows!

We are using Twitter and Facebook to build up our marketing list. A couple of years ago it was a bit of a waste of time, but the list is pretty good now and we can send campaigns out.
